How’s it going y’all?
Picked up my GX a few months back and it’s been awesome. It’s an 06 with ~130k on it with a Dobinsons MRA lift on 35” Yokohamas.
It has a rotating noise (coming from up front) consistently around 20mph however it doesn’t get louder the faster I go and doesn’t change when turning. I’ve had the tires rebalanced and rotated but no change.
These days I’m more inclined to turn up the radio but was just curious if any of y’all dealt with something similar. The GX has new CVs and I had the diffs flushed.

Forgive the cracked dash lol.

Have you checked the wheel bearings? First thing I’d do

Appreciate the response!
I have not but will get it jacked up this weekend. Only thing that made me lean away from that is previous vehicles the bearings would make the noise while turning vs just going straight but maybe these are more worn out.

Im going to go with hub assemblies aswell. Dorman, 950001 (950-001) for OE spec fix. Easy repair, should only run about an hour if youre familiar with the suspension on the 120 platform. 2 lower 19mm bolts, 17mm caliper bolts, 35 (i use 36mm myself..) for axle nut and then the 4 hub bolts which should be, if memory serves correctly, 12mm hub flange bolts.

...or its the internals on the cv axle itself. thats always a good place to start.

Awesome and very thorough, thanks!

What is the mount you have on the dash there?

It was on the GX when I purchased it so I don’t have anything mounted to it yet though.

I’d keep spare wheel bearings and a few other things on hand if you are going to keep running 35s. Those are going to wear everything out a lot faster.
