I need a 5 speed knob for my H55 swap. I want a knob that has the same look and style of my 4 speed knob, but with the new shift pattern.

is there such as thing as a 5 speed version of the above knob????

I have been to MAF, SOR, TPI, and there are NO photos of their shift knobs. CCOT doesn't offer one at all, neither did Cruiserparts, or Cruiseroutfitters.

check ford big trucks

not sure it will match thread pattern on shift rod but i think my 3 ton ford has the same shift pattern as the 5 speed - the numbers are just engraved... i know i have a lot of problems when i go from the big truck to the toy since 1st in the ford is where reverse is on the toy... the ford beeps when you put it in reverse but the LC does not...

these knobs are readily available at your local auto parts recycler (junk yard)... if that isn't a match they might put the original toyota part on their computer (if you talk sweet to them) and one of the auto recyclers in canada can send one down.

There IS a 5-speed knob like that, came in some Canadian diesel 60's IIRC...the other version is the one below, I have one of these on my desk!

Yep, I used the one from my '78 Corolla. Threads on no problem!

Yeah, any older 80's model toyota with a 5-speed should have a similarly styled knob. Try a non-sr5 84-87 mini truck or 4runner if you want a hard rubber or plastic knob, or a sr5 knob which is leather wrapped if you want a little extra bling. That is what i used on my old 60 with the H55. Hope this helps.

I'll take this one off your hands if you are interested.

Cheers,

ya you can find them all the time on ebay. they look exactly like the 4 speed shift knobs only with 5 speed shift pattern

Yeah.. make sure you put a 5 speed knob on it. I heard if you use a 4 speed knob it will not let you shift into 5th gear.. sucks..

ummm,
are you all forgetting you have a 5 speed?
