Hello all,

While driving home today on the highway, the 80 lost power going up a hill. Was able to get it pulled off the road with no problem. The dash lit up like a christmas tree when I got it stopped. The engine will crank and turn over, but will not start. Worked on the fuel pump relay, by cleaning the contacts, but it still seemed that it was not pulling fuel up to the engine. We ended up flat towing it about 1/4 mile to a local walmart, where I am meeting someone to tow it home tomorrow. All of the fuses have been
checked, with none being blown. Not really sure what direction to go in terms of fixing it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sad pic at the walmart parking lot.

Thanks in advance.

Fuseable link? There is a sticky on no start issues

Thanks for the replies. I have the cruiser back at the house now, and will start working on it to try to figure it out tonight.

Thanks for the advice once again eveyone. I had a loose electrical connection in either the fusible link or the coil wire. After working on both of them, the 80 cranked up and ran. Wish I would have found them on the road, but at least it is back running now.
