Unfortunately, my LIghtforce HTX2 lighting kit came with half a wiring harness. I've got the lights side of the harness - wired to connect ground to the battery and power to the relays - but missing the relay and switch wiring.

So, given the tariff/customs situation, getting the parts that I was supposed to have from Oz is a non-starter, so, suggestions on a universal kit that has the relays and wiring that I can use with a CH4x4 switch? Or, even someone that can builds harness?

Yes I could also source all the parts for myself and wire it myself, I just have too many projects going on right now and would love to just offload this work on someone else.

TIA!

Are there tariffs on Australian products? Iirc we have a trade surplus with them. I could be wrong though.

Yeah, and then there's the problem of the shippers not accepting any <-$800 items due to customs issues. Basically, stuff isn't getting here because nobody has any idea what the actual rules are on any given day.

It's insane, I thought everyone said we'd run the gov like a business, but I guess nobody specified a *successful* business.

To my knowledge only DHL has said no packages with a value over $800 would be accepted. DHL announced today it was reversing course. The deminis customs exception for under $800 no longer applies to only Hong Kong and China.

I guess my question is should the other half of the harness been shipped with the lights? If so the mfg should be able to ship it without any issues.

Ah, thanks for the update. So much freaking uncertainty for no reason.

I heard back from Lightforce, and we went back and forth on the subject of what was advertised with the lights, and what was shipped. They said that for US vehicles the lights can be plugged directly into my OEM harness so it doesn't need the switch and relay wiring. My point was nowhere does it say that on the website or when I purchased the lights, and nor did they provide any documentation on how that work. It could be true, but that wasn't my plan for wiring. I said the lights were advertised with a complete harness and that's what I should have had in the box. We'll see what they come back with, time difference!

Next time, maybe I'll just buy from Baja Designs. LIve and learn.

Well, Lightforce came through and are sending me the wiring harness I need. Super nice of them.

Glad to hear this! Dont hear lightforce mentioned much anymore, but they were quite popular back in the day and were always known for top tier customer service.

Glad to hear thats still a thing

Yeah, I'd recommend them. Through the whole process they were very responsive.
