LJ has been updating the first post with a list of all the people who are in on the GB. There is also pricing of the most common modular components on the bumpers in the first post as well.

I believe LJ also sent an email to Mr. Smith yesterday with some questions that some of the guys have had. Maybe he can post all of those official answers into the first post as well to keep all of the 'official business' in one spot....just a suggestion.

I'm very interested in a rear bumper and wonder if someone might consolidate and condence the large amount of information and requests. Sounds like he'll wind up with many different versions.
I would like one similiar to a competitors with a swing out tire carrier, room for better back up lights, hitch, powder coated and jack mount. Don't want extra high clearence. Plus second carrier arm for later mods.

Tried putting all this together, got a headache and gave up.

I will pm mike today. There are only two versions available but mike will add almost anything for a certain price. He has een out of town but should be back today

Mike has emailed back! He will be responding to the questions this evening through email and I will post his response tomorrow around lunch time:)

I'm looking forward to his answer about those end-caps 'cause I want em!

What time do you take lunch? It's almost 5pm on the east coast!

Hey guys, latest update! Mike is still replying to all other emails so do not panic if your issue is not addressed. If we were to pay deposits today...

"Hey LJ

Sorry for not getting back to you yesterday. Right now I am scheduled out until thanksgiving. I would be able to start on this order after that. I would want the deposits before I get started on anything. Before people commit I want to make sure that they understand it will take me some time to complete this order. I usually schedule a week to build a bumper and carriers. I was thinking to start with the bolt on and then hopefully we will get the 5 I would like to do the high clearance order. Does that make sense?

The cost to add just the arm is $250. I think it is a good idea to add the arm when I build it. If not the next best option is to have me put the spindle in and then build the carrier and then they have it welded on and do all the holes. That puts a lot more on there plate but would go together better than me building it and not being able to fit it to the bumper. Hopefully that makes sense too. Let me know what else comes up and we can go from there."

Seems like he wants to start with the bolt on and keep the order for high clearance open in case there was a possibility to get 5:)

Mike confirmed that we can put down deposits for the bolt on bumper. So I will pm everyone with the info on that as soon as I get home from school

Just ate lunch! A late lunch, thanks to all these stupid midterms and senior projects:mad:

LJ, do you know if the tire carrier assembly is the same for the bolt on and the high-clearance? If so, Mike may want to complete the main bodies of the bolt on first, and then maybe by then we can have enough people for the high clearance for Mike to mass produce all of the tire carriers at one time.

This may save him some time, and maybe let is still have 10% off the high clearance if we only have 4 of them.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for being patient with me while I was gone. I expected to be able to access the internet but was not able to. Anyway, I can add end caps to the bumper wings if that is what you want. I didn't do it to begin with for a couple reasons. Access to clean out mud and such and access to bolt the wing supports up. I will have to add $50 to the price of the bumper if you opt for this.

I also wanted to be very clear that this order will take me some time. I usually schedule a week to build a bumper with dual carriers. I hope that it will not take as long in this situation but I would rather tell you later and have it done early than the other way around. It will also take the powder coaters a week or so to get things coated. I would say that they would not be ready to ship until the end of January. I would be happy to give weekly updates so everyone would know what was going on.

Please let me know if you have any other questions and we can go from there.

Thanks
Mike

Mike, thanks for the update. Also wanted to thank you again for doing this for those interested!

Do you by chance have any pictures of a completed bumper with the end caps? How difficult would it be to actually mount the bumper with the end caps in place?

Thanks again

EDIT: One other question that I think I know the answer to: If I opted to order a "bolt on" model Without the Hitch reciever, that would make it a true "bolt on" bumper correct?? It's the hitch reciever alone that requires the cutting of the rear support. Is this all correct??

Hi Guys

I am happy to help out with this GB. I gives me a chance to help out all of you and give back for your support.

I don't have any pictures of it because I have not cap one before. It should basically follow the wing lines and then curve along with the body on that side. I can take pictures as I go if you would like. You are correct if you don't ask for the hitch the bumper is purely bolt on. Have a good weekend everyone.

Thanks
Mike

Thanks Mike...I emailed you with some specific questions. Looking forward to hearing from you:) Thanks again for helping us all out...

LJ,
I'll be getting the high clearance bumper, are we still waiting to get 5 total ... to make the deal official... before we should send Mike our down payments?

Still waiting to get 5 for the skids too...

I was going to contact Mike, but thought I'd ask you first.
Thanks.

No down payments yet, he wants to get the bolt on guys taken care of first. He said by late december early january he will tackle our orders for the high clearance, just in time for the skid buy huh?;)

That is what i was thinking. We may easily have 6-7 in the skid section with that timing.
