I have some operator induced problems with my 97 FZJ80. The cruiser ran fine before, so I have screwed something up.

Just replaced spark plugs, grommets, wires and vacum hoses (on TB and Intake). Buttoned it all back up and started it up. The engine revs every 2 seconds and shows no signs of stopping.

Took the TB back off to double check all hoses, they all appear to be connected to the proper place. Played with the throttle position sensor and it only increases the peak revs RPM. Pressing the gas pedal does nothing.

Brake pedal also feels very stiff.

Disconnected the battery, and reconnected it.
Went over the vacuum hoses with some carb cleaner looking for vacuum leaks. Did not notice any, though its hard to tell with all the revving.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

So .... what was it?

Well I stared at it for a while like I knew what I was doing. So maybe that was it

Honestly I am not sure. I just keep rechecking hoses and clamps and pulled the throttle position sensor and the valve next to it, then put them back on. Found a crack in PCV hose #2 and taped it up. Fired it up this afternoon and she runs like a champ.
