I need to have a lx450 checked out in Fuquay-Varina. Anyone have a good trustworthy mechanic there i can get a pre purchase inspection completed?

I'd ask in the Olde North State Clubhouse forum - there's a bunch of 80/450 guys in that region and a dedicated thread to recommended mechanics.

Depending on when you are looking to do this I may be in Raleigh this Friday and I would be happy to look at it if that helps.

Man, i love the power of the internet. thanks guys. Coastalcat, i appreciate the offer, but i have family in raleigh, and my brother in law is going to check it out initially, then I'm going to have Dave Jordan Auto check out the mechanicals.

I just spoke to Dave at Dave Jordan Auto. He's going to check the 470 out tomorrow. After a 10 minute conversation, I think this guy is gold. I'll update tomorrow after I get his report. He only works on Toyotas and something else, I think. 30+ years of experience. We'll see if he earns the $30 he charges for a PPI. (I was expecting $100 at least)

Had inspection today. Dave Jordan know his stuff. Gave me complete confidence to make an offer without laying my eyes on the truck. Should be picking it up this weekend! As Jessie Spano would say, "I'm so excited, I'm so excited..."
