I've been watching the site for a wile but this is my first post so here goes:

I'm looking for a bull bar for my truck similar to an ARB. I have a BJ73 1985 JDM with the stock winch and bumper. The issue is that the truck is 24V and I can't afford a new warn winch so I'm stuck with the stock one. Does anyone know of a bull bar that will mount my stock toyota winch? So far I've contacted arb and they said my winch wouldn't fit as stock. I'm not opposed to making small mods to the bumper I just don't want to build one. I have also attempted to contact TJM and Ironman but I haven't heard back from them. Any help would be great!

l have fitted pto winch on ARB winchbar ,i am sure with some cutting n welding, the electric winch will fit.

From what I hear it shouldn't be too hard to make my winch fit in one of the bull bars. The question is now which is best Ironman, ARB, TJM? We have a few 80 series ARB's on trucks and I like them but I haven't seen the other options in person. Please help.

Find out the thickness of the steel used. Some of them are just too thin.
I dont know if you can get them in the US ,but another aussie company is ECB(east coast bullbars)

i have a east coast bullbar sitting here and compared to the other 3 brands mentioned it is a seriously overkill bumper. ARB and TJM are tin thin.
if you can afford it ECB is the way to go.

Thats good to know. When I 1st got into cruisers they were around ,but their bars were ugly. Its good to see they can now make them look good as well as tough.
Many bullbars use to be thicker steel but it gets thinner each year.

Its partly tying to keep costs down, but its also a weight issue. A lot of the newer 4wds are at their max weight with bullbar,fridge/freezer,towbar,dual wheel carrier, roof rack, before the humans get in.
Insurance companies and cops here are demanding 4wds be weighed if they have been in an accident where overloading is thought to have been a factor.

Do you have an idea what they might cost? I cant find a price anywhere.

Never mind. I did some more looking and found prices for the 60 series versions of both the arb and ecb. There wasn't a big price difference between the two. Getting a 70 series version in the US might be a little annoying though.
