Need a Brake job in Victoria

Just wondering if anyone knows of a good place in Vic to get LC brakes done? I'd prefer to do it myself, but lack the time/space/cold tolerance to do so.

I'd also prefer to take it somewhere trustworthy, that won't overcharge/under-perform.

Any suggestions?

if it's just pads and shoes,

do it yourself, really. no time at all.

X2. Just make sure you turn your rotors and drums and make sure there is enough metal on them to turn. No sense putting new pads and shoes on scored up metal. If the rotors and drums are near new, then you may get away with a light emery cloth buffing.

I usually do my own brakes, but this time I called around and found a place willing to throw in some new shoes (pads and rotors are fine) and machine the drums for two-hun, while I sit in the office, sip coffee, and surf. Seemed like a pretty good deal, but I'll know in a couple hours whether it was or not...

I still can't get used to shop prices... I think I bought pads from napa for $40 and had the drums turned for about $20 at Midas then spent an hour and 1/2 doing the job (then I went to rear discs).
Are you sure you need rears? they last a LOOOONG time. The fronts take about 45 minutes from start to finish.

yeah, couple years ago I showed a buddy of mine how to do the brakes on the Noble Steed ( pos tercel )

he was kinda shocked at how stupidly easy it was, and how much money he'd wasted on brake jobs in the past 15 years.
