Thanks, I never knew I wanted a 45 until I seen this one. I still want a 40 though, and a 60, and a Pig and well you know.......Wow, that's beautiful. I have always wanted a 45.
I have a lot of respect for those who can build. I am mechanical but have never worked on cars. I love this rig because it gives me that opportunity to learn and be in tune with a vehicle. The OlYeller looks sweet.Hello and welcome - Knuckle job... hmm - maybe need to have a party!
I unlike you, didn't buy restored and have been working to get mine running - love to catch up and hang out with/in it with you all.
Thanks, I grew up around Harvester International tractors so I am always a sucker for red.Welcome, that's a beautiful rig, love the red.
I never said I can build -I have a lot of respect for those who can build
When you are finished though you will be the go to on that and many other rigs I would bet. I will check out those posts on your progress!I never said I can build --
I am going at it with some help. I've posted some of my successes and failures on the "what have you done this week in the tech forum part of MUD"
I just got done with the harmonic balancer - and an oil leak I had to redo because I can't remember what I read. (IE overtighten bolts vs silicone them = pooched gasket)
Hello groundeater! That is one BA truck and to have that history with your 45 is amazing not to mention the new life you just breathed into it. I hope to have the same longevity with mine. A Cruiser meetup would be awesome.WoW !!
It sure caught me unaware that there was a small nucleus of FJ-45 owners here in the flatlands of Nebraska !! SOCOOL !!
I too, own a ‘67 FJ-45. Mine is a Chevy Hybrid, not always so well accepted by all, but only by the ‘modifiers’ as l like to call them.
Wow,... so now there’s a Papillon owner, and one in Elmwood Nebraska....l am STOKED !
We REALLY should try and meet up sometime in the future. I am still breaking the engine in on mine (5.3 LS) only has around 1100 miles on it to date.
We live in Southwest Nebraska between North Platte and McCook. I’m a retired ol’ geezer and have owned my truck for 41 years now. (probably longer than you two have BEEN ALIVE! [note: l don’t mean to brag, it’s just funny to me ! ] )
