I always saw them in Australian market 80-84 2F’s with a/c. Wish I could justify it for the knob, I already have enough switches and brackets.

If I am not mistaken, this switch mimics the functionality of the ASV on non emission 2F engines to satisfy the idle control output of AC controller to engage compressor clutch.
