This is the way I do it.I leave mine on the trip info screen so when it starts up, I see the Toyoto logo and then it goes right into my MPG & fuel stats. Not that this helps you in any way, ha.
Ever actually do the math? I find these screens to be off by a few mpgs compared to calculating at the pump. my display stays off full time after going into the settings selecting the display off option. No i don't want the map view at all. If I shut off the vehicle while in Climate control or any other mode and the next time I start up it automatically forces the system to go into Nav mode and hence the Caution screen.
I am actually surprised that if you shut the vehicle off while in Trip info mode, the next time you startup it stays in that mode. I think it might have been a bug from Toyota that they forgot to force it back to Nav mode from Trip mode)
My mpg screen is pretty accurate actually. I feel I get a pretty consistent 15.5 mpg with mixed driving. Usually 330+ miles on a tank - I drive a few more miles once the light comes on.Press the " I Agree" button and it will go away.
Upon next startup, press it again.
Repeat
JK, but lately I've just been running with my display off . I am almost positive that when I start the vehicle, it just stays blank. Unless I press map, I don't see the warning. I can press climate and get right to my settings but otherwise I don't mess with it much
Assuming you want the map view though ? Pretty sure there is no way around the safety check screen to get into the map view.
