Hey all,
I am trying to gauge interest and get some help with a valuation on my '88 FJ62. I've recently accepted a new job which will change up my commute and I need to make a daily driver change.
Here's the story: About a year ago I purchased this FJ62 from a local dealership that deals in older/vintage cars. I financed it, which at the time seemed alright, but on this end of it, all was probably not the best move on my part. I mention this because if anyone is interested they'll have to go with me to the bank to clear the lien.
It's a red FJ62, no rust apart from some super minor superficial surface stuff. Some minor bumps and scratches...
From the place I got it:
As I stated above the AC could use a charge.
This is also a good candidate for a birfield seals rebuild. There's some streaking on the inside of the tires, but I've kept the front diff niced and topped off. Drives great.
I would like to get $15k for it. But I'm pretty new to LC's and have no idea if that's realistic or not so, please PM me with any offers or feedback.

From the place I got it:
- Top-end of the motor was redone at 200k
- Just replaced transmission (that would have been 2k mi ago now) with one from Cruiser parts.
- New AC compressor (could use a charge now)
- 90% original paint, passenger door, and fender was repainted at some point and has "crazed" a bit. It's pretty minor, but if you wanted it 100% it'd need to be redone. I was quoted around $1k for that.
- Rear Main Seal done
- Oil Pan Gasket
- Tie Rod End kit
- 31x10.50 BFG K02's
- New carpet kit
- NOS Dash
- I replaced the cooling system (radiator, water pump, hoses, seals, thermostat, and it's runs nice and cool.
