Alright fellas, I've been out of the loop for a while but wanted to get a trip in for September.

I saw the plan for Naches get posted earlier but it didn't look like it worked out. I'm thinking I would like to lead a contingent of the willing out that way to run the wagon trail, get some pictures of the trucks, and have an all around good time.

The trail isn't super difficult but is long enough and never gets too boring. There are some great views, but more importantly it will be a good chance to get some cruiser guys out!!

Details:

Meet at the Enumclaw Safeway at 8:30 on [STRIKE]Saturday, September 29th[/STRIKE].

Looking to do this on Sunday, September 30th now!!

152 Roosevelt Avenue East
Enumclaw, WA 98022

Having a minimum of FRS will help with trail comms, but CB is preferred. Mine is on the fritz right now, but I'll see if I can get something wired up by then.

As always, this is a kid/wife friendly event. Also, if anyone has non-cruiser/Toyota friends, bring em out! (We'll have recovery gear :p)

The trail will take a few hours, but should (weather permitting!) provide some great views and ample opportunities to stop and take pictures.

Plan on a decent break for lunch, and if there's enough interest I can bring a small BBQ. We will also have provisions for cold food/beverage storage if anyone needs.

If you don't already have my number but are interested in rolling out, shoot me a PM!

I'm down to roll. We can turn this into our monthly get together as well, if we have enough people interested. Some pics of the last time Mike and I made the trip.

Nice. Looking like it might be a nice little trip.

I really want to, I need to find out if I can because we have a friend from out of town coming up that week. But she may just say hell yah lets go haha.

Ill work my magic it would be great to meat the new guys finally, and cash is getting old enough he may enjoy it and not just sleep the whole way :)

These meets turned into mini excursions! Nice!

This forces my hand to upgrade my suspension and tire combo after my PM's are performed.

So... we'll see you on the 30th :D

Of course we will. The only real question is whether or not he needs help installing the lift and tires before the 30th.

Awesome man. Looks like its going to be a pretty nice turn out.

I'm not certain. Mike will know better. I just show up and look good.

Unless anyone happens to know otherwise, it's my understanding that no passes are needed to run the wagon trail or be in the surrounding area.

Only for parking at designated areas, NW forest service pass, aka trail heads and such. So we should be fine.

I dont buy passes anymore, I just park away from the trailheads or areas. If the state could fix things right between the disco, nw, dnr, wdfw and park passes I'll start paying them again. Until them its cheaper to pay a couple tickets a year lol.
And I have to problem helping fund things.

I highly doubt I'll get my pm's done before the 30th. Including the lift too! My schedule is booked up until middle October.

Making a meet into little trips sounds great, so I'm motivated to get this done. I'll definitely commission a land cruiser posse for the lift :)

What kind of carnage possibilities a stock suspension sagging, birf clicking, mall posing, snow tire blistering, oil sweating rig could encounter?

I think a stock rig would do fine out there.

The first time I ran it a VW synchro was with us and did just fine, without a low range. We also passed an early 90's gmc Sonoma that was completely stock, working his way through. They are smaller, but I've seen stock trackers buzzing trough Naches also.

Any stock land cruiser could run this trail, and truthfully will probably be more fun to drive than a built one.

Worst case, park it and catch an open seat.
