Car AC died then overheated. Sent to my mechanic and he sent me this pic. Whats this hose? and how is my suspension installed wrong. The shop that installed it instals probably dozens a day.

That’s a low pressure side ac line… what is your mechanic suggesting? The dobinsons reservoir was installed incorrectly and it chaffed through the line and caused all the refrigerant to escape? That would explain why the ac died, not sure about the general overheating though.

Yep, need a bit more information/pictures here to fully explain this one. Non-op AC isn't going to do anything to make your engine operating temps rise.

You can potentially patch the AC line using Alum Bond. Then replace the drier bag, do an evac and vacuum test, and recharge. I nicked the same line on my GX and was able to DIY repair it that way.

I dont know much about cars, but I love them. I fwed your and other members observations and according to the mechanic its a simple fix. I hope you guys are wrong. (even though deep down I think you have 1000x more knowledge) This guy does not have an IR thermometer.

@jcmiro If you said it overheated did the system boiled over as in spilled coolant? or temp. just got hot near overheating? An A/C line will never cause overheating ask the mechanic to diagnose the cooling system while he is working at it.
