I decided to paint the instrument panel sub-assembly flat black. The color was gray when I bought the unit.

The assorted rubber grommets came in. These I will use to insulate the wiring harness that passes through the doors. There are some grommets on the original harness that are still in good condition. I would also use the others to plug some holes.

The glove box I bought from ebay also arrived. This is a used item but is very much better than the ones I had.

Headlamps are on.

Isn't one of your headlamps in 90 degrees wrong?

Yes, I noticed that too. I would rather correct that later on when most of the parts are installed. Well, the transmission cover is flat black.

I was hoping for this to be done and do a test run before Christmas, but something went wrong with the headliners. It somehow became brittle that when I started stretching to glue this on the body, it ripped apart in some areas. I contacted the upholstery guy and it will cost another US$100.00 for the material and labor and will take 3 to 4 days including installation. I will post the damaged pics tomorrow.

I bought a material from Ebay that is an anti-rattke sticker. Applied in center consoles and glove compartments. Since I bought a used glove compartment from Ebay, I wanted this to look a little better than the condition I bought it. It not only made it look like new but also made the compartment stronger.

I did a lot of things just to save the old headliner. But in the end had to decide to take it down for a replacement.

Started disassembly of the seats.

I got to check all of what is inside the seats. Broken brackets, rust, locks and bushings will be repaired and/or replaced.

Stripped to the skeletal structure.

After thorough cleaning and degreasing, applied rust converter and let stay overnight.
