Just a few pics of a little shelf I built in my 96 LX. I wanted to get the tire out from underneath but still have somewhere to store gear. The top hard carpeted shelf should work out just fine when out camping.- Tim

good job. Can I have your 3rd row seats?

Nice. How do you apply the carpet.. just glue-it to-it?

I'd like to do something like that with drawers in the back, a couple of cubbie holes with lift hatch doors towards the front, and then flat mount my 12" subs towards the rear on each side.

I'll sell you mine!

I like that shelf a lot. Looks really good. I'm thinking about doing something like that instead of a drawer system and run plactic boxes under it.
You're selling 3rd row seats? So am I :D

Magnetguy -
Nice looking platform.
Did you get the pics you requested?

Wow! what a shiny rig especially the second picture. Great job!

Magnet,

How did you secure that shelf?

Your s*** is WAY too clean. :D

Ah come on - wouldn't you love to buy my third row seats ?? From a 97 Collector's Edition :)

Nice job, now you need a rear bumper so you can use the bottom part of the shelf you made

No - I actually just used double sided carpet tape which is extremely sticky - holds it down real good-

Nice to have clean s*** eh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shelf is all screwed together with wood screws and is heavy enough that it just sits in loose - doesn't move a bit as I made it to fit snug -

thanks Doug

I'd be more worried about what's sitting on the shelf becoming a flying guillotine.

I think that's great. One concern - my floor bolts stick up through the carpet in the back there, and would gouge the bottom of the bottom shelf. Not a problem in and of itself, but this means the shelf is actually resting on a few awkward pivot points, causing slide and flex. Have you noticed that in your setup?

David
