I'm curious why the independent over traditional suspension....better reliability and ride? I really find the mechanics behind it intriguing. Might not be a bad idea to carry an extra bag. The frame looks first rate.
As far as your measurements for the tent clearences..they don't really mesh, but speaking first hand of having two trailers that both flipped over the back, and both had changing rooms(or annexes') you won't regret it. It's very handy to load and/or unload if it's raining. I bring along a folding aluminum sawhorse to setup the tent, it then does double duty as a chair or table. I keep the portpotti in there for the

About the landing gear wheel... that was what I originally had on my jeep trailer upgrade. It collapsed in the first attempt to move the trailer. The thin sheetmetal rim will not take any kind of side load, despite its weight rating. I had to go with a better rim/tire.
