The number you listed is the SSO number, is the extension yours? You have my number if you want to talk about this.

I posted because anyone looking your bumper needs to know about the gap, you build a strong bumper and if I had see the gaps ahead of time, I still might of purchased, but I would of gone in knowing that, but not know it and now learning that part of my restocking fee is to paint a bumper that came to me needing to be repaint is not right.

Bruce,

The shipping damage is a separate issue. The restocking fee is plainly stated on our website and is a VERY common business practice considering the cost of accepting a return when a customer changes their mind. We did give you the choice to keep the bumper and we would have covered the cost of the re powder at our cost regardless of the outcome on the shipping damage claim. You still chose to bring it back. I've also offered to credit you the 20% on a custom made bumper to your specifications. I'm quite uncertain how to be more accommodating at this point.

Ok, I am not sure we can reach a compromise, but I will sleep on it.

I am not sure another bumper would work, because I could not see it until it was delivered and should there be something wrong, I would be right back where I am and out 2 more sets of even larger shipping cost. I am no longer 5 hours from your shop, but now 21 hours away, about 1200 miles. If I lived close by, this would be a good offer and I would be all over it. But I am guess shipping could run $350-400 or more each way to my home if something was not right.

I really think you should post new pictures on the website and in the install PDF and let people know in the description that there is up to a 1" gap. I also would say to remove the information about painting body color, since I was told you don't do that anymore.

I think some people will accept the gap and be happy with an SSO bumper and I am sure there will be others like me who will not, but now people will know its there and can make a better discussion.

I start this thread because the information on your website was not accurate for the product that was delivered, but to me, you have made the shipping issue part of this, because part of the restocking fee is to paint the bumper, which should be covered by the shipper or the painter who screwed up.

I might or might not call you, haven't decided.
