My olders sister bought one yesterday on MY birthday for herself.

She loves it, I get to drive it today...I guess I get to test it out before I get one at some point :).

She got the first one sold in Atlanta...kinda cool.

FJ Pics

I have a load of them...but my star expired :)

It is silver, loaded (roof rack, sliders, TRD wheels with BFG ATs, locker, etc)

I drove it around my neighborhood and when curb jumping a bit...good soft response on the bumps yet still able to steer with no sway.

Locker worked well, transfer case was easy to use (she got a 4x4, non-fulltime).

I noticed the front skidplate was wimpy...the oil pan plate was even worse. the t-case had the lil tin thing like an 80 has. All those would be easily made out of some thicker stock and it would be a well armored tank.

I REALLY liked the reinforced crossmember, resin skidder on the gas, and the fact that everything was tucked in nicely. The sliders looked extremely well made.

The driveshafts both looked like they had some extended travel to them...the mechanics look very very good.

I think this truck could be made into a really great DD offroader with a moderate lift (literally 1 or 2 inches) and 33 or 34" tires. I wouldn't advise on the the front locker with an IFS front. The TRAC would work and I bet you could do the hack to get it working in low.

I would definitely purchase one if I was able.

I am the sister!

I searched and searched for this string so I could get on here and have my 2 cents before my brother said lots of bad things about me! Just kidding D!

I don't speak "Cruiser" but I can tell you that I love this truck! It's not going to be driven too much off road until it's paid for, but I am hoping that the little bro has a little ride that is kinda tame for me to play on soon!

Pics attached....

Can I borrow it this weekend? I wanna go to Tellico :)

what tires did you mount on that??? AT or MT?

Looky like ATs.

Nice truck. Congrats.

They are the TRD wheels (16s) and the BFG ATKOs.

What was your experience like?

I am probably going to buy in Atlanta or Asheville and wonder how it went. Where did you buy it? Did they jack you with a markup, etc. etc....
thanks!

Wheels

The wheels were not part of a package, just an option...but a sweet one! The only package it has is the convenience package. I will take more pics of the inside and all over and post them soon.

You said "package."

I bought in Atlanta (Chamblee, really), and I really liked the dealer and the folks there. I tried a number of dealers, and they all had one in stock, but their GM and other staff all had them out showing them off to their country club friends. These guys were down to earth and ready to help me out. They gave me a great trade on my Xterra because they were pretty set on the price. But they also knew that if they moved this one out fast, that Toyota would respond by sending them more. I'll be happy to give you a referral (and make $100 in the process)!

Give me the contact info

and I will certainly mention your name. Nothing wrong with a 'free' hundred bucks!!

If you go in, ask for Willy Yarbrough or a manager named Dominic. they will remember me as the first person to buy one there. Willy knows nothing about the truck, but then again no one at the dealerships around here do. But he's a nice guy and after I told him a few things, he seems really interested in learning more.

Best of luck to you!
