My opinion on 2011 vs 2013 (1 Viewer)

They do often allow like-for-like swaps once it's at the yard. They'll give you a contact and you make an appointment for them to pull it out to a clear space. Let me know if you need help.

+1 on assistance to yank parts from your truck. I'm local as well, plus I really hate insurance companies. If you've got a comprehensive list of aftermarket parts and $$$, present that to those insurance types and they'll prob let you take all you want vs. paying for the stuff.

Thanks @JamesC & @Tripledave - after escalating to the GSM at Pat Lobb and explaining that I had not agreed to release vehicle to insurance yet I got them to let me grab some stuff. Required that insurance co send an email saying I could pull items I listed specifically, which they did.. took home for the night, my buddy and I wrenched on it until 3am on a Monday (!!). Grabbed all Asfir slider and under armor plates, LED light strip, ARB roof rack, ARB spots from front bumper, CO2 tank.. Drove back to dealer and dropped off. For a couple weeks the owner / GM of Lobb has been looking for me another 200 series, requested 2011 or 2013 but he found a local one owner 2008 that has been religiously maintained and had decent miles, picked up on Friday! Today I added the under armor plates AND I was lucky enough to have dealer pull (for $210!) my brand new Nitto 285/65 MTRs from the total and add to the new ride. Came out smelling like roses, other than losing my silver truck and ARB front / rear / OME lift. The check that insurance is writing is MORE than what I paid for the new one.. A win, if there is one in this situation. Happy with the 2008, wanted 2013 but this is much better on the checking account for now :] Anyhow, as we all well know, these vehicles hold value like NO other. 1978 FJ40 was my very first vehicle, and hopefully I will drive them forever! @MScruiser - I have a remote battery cover for you, but forgot the other stuff as I was delirious from being awake so long. Land Cruiser for life! :]

Still delirious obviously, the work was done on Wed night not Monday night.. Also someone had asked about the performance chip - found out it was not a chip, but it had been tuned. Asked the tech at dealer and he said the only way to add a "chip" is to do an ECU override or piggy back something or another.

Great news..... pics pleeze!

I don't quite understand the value of a tune on these vehicles & I do know all about tunes, just don't see us doing 1/4 mile/0-60 runs on Mexican highways at night....you know , the "three beep" head to head runs.

Good deal man. I'm sure the wrenching was worth it.

Well I've always been of the opinion that if the tune can get uncorked some useful low RPM torque and help with low speed acceleration it will be useful for merging and passing. Assuming it doesn't cost an arm and a leg...

But you're right, the tunes that only uncorked more HP at high RPM is pretty useless in these trucks (unless you do SUV racing with the Tahoe/Suburban/Expedition crowd).

Reviving an old thread here...so the primary difference between a LC 2011 and LC 2013 are the following, correct?
  • Perforated leather seats with cooling
  • Dynamic Cruise Control
  • Backup camera positioning lines
  • Multiview surround cameras
  • HID headlights
Anything else?

You can remove the perforated seats with cooling and Multiview surround cameras from your list as our 2011 Lx has both of them

Copy and thanks for the additional info! Point of clarification on my part, I was referencing LC models.

cooled seats are worth the PITA of the DCC but if someone figures out how to delete the sonar feature please let me know!

I also had an '11, drove it about a year, upgraded to a '15.

The dash cluster is more modern (colors!) and it shows some additional stuff in the center, as you cycle through. Some of the screens on the center touchscreen are improved as well.
Multi-terrain system has 5 settings, not just 3.
Turn assist in tight corners (low range only)
Marker lights in the headlights are a strip of LEDs. Taillights are LEDs (but not the turn signals, I fixed that)
Aux power port for the rear seat passengers
Homelink buttons for the garage door opener are on the mirror
No headphone-style AUX input port, USB only

RTFM! (it's in the Owner's Manual). I can't remember how to do it, but it's not hard.

After turning on cruise, push and hold the stalk forward. After a couple seconds the screen will change and radar cruise is disabled. The other benefit is now you can +/- in single increments, not 5mph at a time.

Note that this only works immediately after turning cruise on. If you attempt it after speed had been set (even after canceling) it won’t let you into manual cruise mode.

Thank you sir, this is exactly what I was looking for! Trying to decide which version I want to pursue. Updated list below:
  • Perforated heated/cooled leather seats
  • Dynamic Cruise Control
  • Backup camera positioning lines
  • Multiview surround cameras
  • HID headlights, LED marker lights in the headlights, LED taillights
  • Updated dash cluster (more modern colors and additonal info)
  • Improved touchscreen
  • Multi-terrain system has 5 settings, not just 3
  • Turn assist in tight corners (low range only)
  • Aux power port for the rear seat passengers
  • Homelink buttons for the garage door opener are on the mirror
  • No headphone-style AUX input port, USB only
  • Exterior chrome door side modeling
