Welcome to my introduction post. This is my third vehicle in the 8 or so years since I started driving.
I just picked up this truck the other day. 2005 LX 470 with 230k miles. The lady I bought it from has been the sole owner since new. It's been garage kept for at least the last few years and looks like longer than that. It's done a lot of highway travel, more recently between Florida and the 51st state.
It's in great shape. I'm getting 9 or 10 marks bewteen low and high on the AHC reservior. It needed a new battery after mostly sitting on a charger for a year. It has Night View which is the coolest not-very-useful option which I really hoped for.
I've also discovered bluetooth has been installed. Unfortunately I don't know the trick to pair my phone. I was hoping to find a unit behind the glovebox with a "pair" button on it, but it's buried somewhere deeper (or I'm just blind to the mass of wires). Whatever unit it is, it has an old iPod cable.
If anyone has any ideas on how to get the bluetooth on--that don't involve me pulling open the nav unit and tracing the wires--let me know. After one minute with the key in the ON position, I get this message on the unit. It's not showing in my phone bluetooth pairing menu during this minute.
I'm hoping to just press the right combination of modes to put it in pairing. I've seen the GROM or some other units that use the cassette mode to handle bluetooth.
The only code I found is C1340 "Open Circuit in Center Differential Lock Signal (During Center Differential Lock ON)." I hope I just need to let it engage the center diff before I turn it off. I haven't messed with low range or any of that yet. My plan is to get it home before I open a can of worms. I can post more details about my TechStream setup if it helps anyone.
Also, I have service records for every year back to 05. Timing belt at 180k, heater T's look great. Spark plug boots appear to be tight against the covers. I'm driving it home soon and will be able to more easily service it there. Brake pads are alright, oil will be changed, I think I'll do spark plugs too. Let me know if I'm missing any good-to-check items.
