LOL! Yea D'animal, I just like to do everything the hard way. But really I'm just trying to cut down on my down time by rebuilding an axle from my other FJ40 (1978) that has disk brakes. That way my new FJ40 (1981) that has drum brakes is still mobile till the day i actually do the swap. I think people get confused when i say 1981 and drum brakes up front but NZ seemed to be a bit behind the times as far as upgrading to disk brakes.

I'll be pressure washing it this weekend and it will probably be next week sometime before i can order the rebuild kit. I can never seem to have both money and time at the same time, it is always one or the other. And now all i have is time and no money.

It is not a US production color i tried to match the original color that it was in New Zealand. And my local paint store calls it desert sand.

Stopped in for a look but from this computer just got the little x's instead of pics!

Sound like it is coming along nicely though!
