Hello to all, I have been snooping for quite some time. Since I didn't own a cruiser previously I hadn't posted. I finally found a really nice 93 with 174000 miles. It is the best I have seen for sale in Alaska in 3 years. It has a slee/OME 4" lift, ARB bumper and all terrains. Other than that it is mostly stock. Very little molesting as far as I can tell. It has TLCA stickers from texas so hopefully it has been well cared for most of its life. Maybe someone here recognizes it. The interior is all perfect the body has a couple of dings but it is mostly perfect. The windows are all fussy but I guess that is common. It leaks oil from somewhere undetermined in the front of the motor. The oil is still nice and clean. I am thinking of switching to mobil 1. I assume it has been fed dyno oil the life of the vehicle. I have been running it all week with no issues. I have the accel to decel clunk. So I am going to lube and check the u-joints. I am going to change diff and tranny fluids tonight. It takes the same mobil 1 301 filter as my tundra so that is awesome. I cant really think of much else now. I am sure I will have plenty of questions and ideas. Hope to make some good cruiser friends here.

Nice ride...sure looks like it's in pristine condition. Have fun!!!

No maint records. I am going to call the Alaska toyota dealer to see if it visted there. I did a carfax and that was it. Kinda a semi impulse buy. I threw it on the lift at my work and check it out. Drove it around for awhile and check the fluids and found nothing out of the ordinary so I just pulled the trigger.

I bought mobil 1 5w-40 to throw in. I am going to change the diffs and transfer to mobil 1 75w-90. I will digg into the oil leak later this summer. The fan belts need to be changed one is sorta frayed so I will do those and the AC belt. I am going to grease the u-joints when I do fluids before I order new ones to see if it the clunk goes away.

I will assume timing belt or chain whichever it has was changed. What other right away items should I take care of? I think just driving it for awhile to see what it does will be good.
