After seeing LED threads this, and LED threads that, and recognizing my interior lights @^%&, I decided to make some of my own. Wow what a difference, now I can see! :princess: Rolls her eyes at all my projects, but finally one she really liked.

Here It was before, The middle one is LED . But the rear really shows how much the light is not doing its job!

Here is with the rear one in. Pics dont do it justice but it is an amazing difference!

So I am happy with them! I also ended up doing the doors.

heres a couple pictures. Before and after with Georges L.E.D. domes. Love the bright white light.

Wow that did make a big difference! looks good!

AND...even more importantly...you're pretty much guaranteed to not drain your battery if you leave your door ajar over night :D

Having LED lights inside the vehicle does wonders compared to regular lighting! I'm so glad I changed my interior lighting!

CJ80cruiser- its all in the camera. I just set my Nikon D40x on a tripod and put it in auto mode to take both pictures.

I've bought two of Georges domelights and they are great. Did you do the map or door lights too? If so, can you provide a description of how you went about doing it? Thanks

What do you need to do?

Do I just call or email George and Say I need the 80's series LED Lights for my Truck and he sends them
and they are just plug and play...

What did you order and how much where they-

Sorry to ask something some simple- I heard somewhere that some LED's are not just plug style-

Thanks... They do look great-

Georges L.E.D. arent available anymore. Thats why you see a more than normal discussion on them. He did a last batch and we jumped on it a week or so ago. He does sell other stuff though, just not the dome, map, or door modules.

That looks great! Made a huge difference.

Looks great. I got some of George's dome lights for my Cruiser and recently bought an LX450 and wish it had some too. Want to make more and sell 'em?:D

Yep, they pretty good stuff. Did you do the map light too?

Yes I did do the map light. as well as the doors. They are so bright and the white color is great! No more of the dim tan color! My three year old always asks for me to open the door so she can make shadow puppets on the garage door!

What I did was get some PC board all the LED's and resistors needed, then it was a matter of sodering everything together. Then put together my connectors. The door tights were the easiest, but by then I had all the stuff figured out. From what I hear Georges are awesome! I dont know how many LED's per light he used, on mine I only have 12 per light, but they are 7,000 Mcd (which is their intencity). I left room to add more, in case 12 were not enough, but am happy with them and won't add any more for now.

We need to get george to make red LED lights for the interior. The reason is that red lights do not ruin ou night vision. The LED lights are great until you have to pause every time the lights go off to let your night vision come back.

Here is a picture of my LED board. Installed in the rear dome light. I decided to mount it from the top. In it you can see the resistors and the LED configuration.

These LED's are 30 Degree, so I angled the outside ones to broadcast the light better. ( Im sure georges look alot better!)

Since im not the photographer of the family, I had my :princess: take better shots of the lights after they were all installed. (map, 2 dome, and 4 doors). So how does it look?
