I was surprised at this. How tall will a 4" SUA lift be? 2.5"? Knowing that my garage is so short I think I may be forced to go with a 2.5" lift such as OME.

Hey, nice meeting you tonight. I went outside (man it's cold for our part of the country) and measured mine. You'll need 80 inches at least, so you should be good.

Does your driveway have any incline or decline? I can bring mine over for a "test fit" before you make the purchase.

Edit - Mine has 33'' tires, 4'' HFS lift and a hard top.

What size tires are you planning? Stock hardtop, soft top?? Need more info...

I plan to run 33" BFG M/T with hard top.

it was good to meet you too. When do you plan on having that thing running? I would greatly appreciate you bringing it over to see. Going into the garage I have a slight incline.

I have the same height door also. I wanted to go with larger tires, but can't until I get a different place.

I have a little over two inches to spare with the hardtop - 4" & 33's. My Best Top is a little taller, but still clears fine.

I have a 68 w/31's that sits at 6' - my garage is 7' - I've been debating the 2.5 vs. 4 OME myself. I want to run 33" bfg mt's (32.8" diameter). Georg has a 40 that's at 79-80 inches (note: it is not fully equiped at the time of measurement) w/a 2.5" ome and 32" tall tires. So, I'm figuring based on my garage and georg's measurements of his truck that I'll be sitting at 81-82 inches. leaving me w/ 2-3 inches of clearance in my 84" garage door opening. I have a slight grade leading up to my garage so hopefully the 2-3 inches will give me plenty of room to squeeze it in.
I say go w/the 4" if you're even considering it. I can take measurements after i'm done w/my lift if it will help anybody...

make sure you go nose in, don't back in or you might hit if your driveway has a slope to it. also, if your rig is slightly too tall, put a ratchet strap on the rear axle and frame and suck it down an inch or two. that way you won't have to re-inflate the tires to drive it. :)

Maybe you could just build a small garage out back....You already have vehicles that'll fit in the standard garage....?

You're building something out of the ordinary....its not supposed to fit in an ordinary garage....

You guys keep your Cruisers in the garage?

I do because my roof leaks.

Well the PO half assed installed a sunroof that looks like it belonged in a 40 year old trailer. In the process the caved in the front part of the roof. I will either halve to replace the roof or take it to a fiberglass guy. Not unless you do fiberglass work.

I'll try anything once....even fiberglass.....well...maybe not
Seriously though would it be a big repair job?...Never saw a good pic of the damage...

I should bring you the fiberglass top I have maybe.....It might be better than what you have.....?

What condition is it in?

That's what I'm talkin' bout Dan! You gonna have that pinion fixed after the New Year? I wanna wheel!
I have the parts and next week off, it could happen.

I do because my roof leaks.

My roof is fine there are a few leaks around the doors and windows, mostly because I don't have any.
