well, had a bit of a harder time than i thought would. loaded the VW onto the transport this morning and watched him go away.
his new home will be here.

its kind of weird how attached we get to "inanimate" objects.
i could only wish the bus could have told the story of his adventure. and now it continues halfway around the world.

When I was kid my family had one of those. I spent a lot of time in it. Our family of 7 did a lot of camping with it. We traded it on a 1970 which I learned to drive in.

That's a sweet van. If the new owner wanted it bad enough to ship it around the world, then I'm sure it's going to a good home! Fingers crossed that the end justifies the means my friend!

Yes it's at least knowing someone really wanted it bad. I love those old bugs and buses. Had a '65 Baja bug for a few years. It was indestructible.
