My story begins last night after dropping my wife off at night school and swinging by the Toyo dealer to check out a FJ sighting reported to me by my next door neighbor. As I pulled up to the dealership there it was a Black Cherry colored FJ...beautiful. I hopped out of the wifes 323i and left the motor running and my dog Hannah inside. A BIG mistake. As I walk around the FJ checking it out I glance back at the Bimmer and see the 4 ways flashing. I walk over to the car and I'm locked out! Hannah had stepped on the lock button on the console. I try to get her to walk around inside the car hoping she may step on the lock button again but no luck. I go into the dealership and tell the sales guy my story and he says I can take the FJ home to get my keys! I'm ready to go and then I remember the day I'm having. My Westy died on the way home from work, my dog locked me out of the car and who knows what episode #3 will be (totaling the FJ on a test drive). So I declined the FJ and he let me take a new Scion home. I'm still kicking myself.

wew, when I started reading you story I thought it was going to end with the dog knocking the car in gear and striking the new FJ. That would have a been a disaster. I probably just jinxed you. I've had days like that, my wife seems to have more of them though, and then my day gets really bad :)

You can only go up, hopefully

I got locked out of our 55 (that FJBen has since killed) by dogs...on top of Rich Mountain in GA. I was plenty of miles from help, etc. Luckily 55s are simple tech and I was able to break in with no damage.

A few years ago my dog locked me out of my old F250 with the engine running on Christmas morning. It took close to 4 hours to get back in. I feel better now knowing that I'm not the only one.
