Not much rust a small bubbles, the frame is solid, I was very surprised being a Michigan truck.Grats, looks like a solid start.
Welcome to mud.
How much rust?
Just make sure the lights on the roof are watertight. If it was me, I would remount them a better way.

What type of lights would you recommend?
I would worry about water leaks & rust in the roof. All it would take is a low branch hitting the light ripping your roof. Not much rust a small bubbles, the frame is solid, I was very surprised being a Michigan truck.

Traverse city, I also see one in Ludington, look very niceVery nice, where did you find that bad boy in Michigan?
He loves it, my wife loves it more and wants to trade nowVery nice. Your kid looks pretty happy about it too.
Thank for the info. Any suggestions what you would do?I think he meant removing them in general and sealing the holes up. Something like that is going to inevitable move around and create leaks. If you want lights put them on your bumper.
Traverse City??? I was born and raised mostly in Kalkaska. I haven’t lived in MI for 36 years. Welcome to your favorite social media group .Traverse city, I also see one in Ludington, look very nice
First thing I'm going to do is get the rust taking care of, and clean up the frame and get it ready for the Michigan winter. Eventually I'll get it restored and have fun with it.Welcome! Looks super solid for a 30 yr old vehicle. What are your plans for it?
I’m just about to media blast the rear of my frame and underbody today. The last 5-6 yrs of it mostly sitting has really taken a toll on it. That was is confusing...older dash, engine and wheels yet late model 80 front grille and lights. Normally people want the older model grille as it is nicer. Is that a body swap or wrecked cruiser they pieced back together?I was also looking at this one for my son.
