Hello! I'm new to the 100 series scene, but have owned a 97' Land Cruiser, and a '97 LX450, both in emerald green.
After a lengthy search and some haggling I now own an extremely well maintained 2002 Atlantis Mica Blue Land Cruiser with 284k. The miles are high, but I have literally never seen a vehicle this meticulously maintained to dealer specs. I have a file as thick as the phone book of preventive maintenance, and dealer recommended services per manual recommendations.

Any body have advice on further preventive maintenance I can do at this mileage to keep this rig on the road for a long time?
Not a single check engine light or maintenance light is on. Service records indicate the timing belt was changed at 140k, and 170k. Every single gadget, light, control etc. works perfectly except the following.
Antenna will not go down
Hood struts will not hold hood up
indicator backlight for pass. heated seat does not work
center diff. indicator does not come on

Nice! Welcome! So for the hood struts, very easy to come by and they're cheap. Amazon, ebay, www.liftsupportsdepot.com.... your choice. As for the light for the seat heater switch, the bulb mounts on the side of the switch (center console just pops up to get under there). You can replace that OEM bulb, or make a nice update and swap all those bulbs to LEDs while you're in there.

Thanks! Is there a preferred source for the LEDs that go in all the little interior switches?
