little bit of work today.
getting the new rubber on the hardtop.
doing some paint touch up in the door sills.
cleaned up the sill trim. waiting to go back on.

i had a couple of rogue springs lying around. finally figured out they were clutch and brake pedal return springs.
one needed a bushing.
made one.

still waiting on my registration. :bang:

after some fůckery with the first rubber i bought, new showed up from Grainger today. overnight ftw.
This was not terribly easy. pretty sure I have a full day of fighting this glass now. 🤣

registration showed up today. they did not issue a sticker. says n/a on the paper. really just hoping it doesn't turn into additional unnecessarily conversations with Johnny Law. 🤷‍♂️
 
Huh? Hadn't heard that one, regular plates and not vintage plates?
i tagged the plate it's been wearing, the og oregon wonderland plate

their wording is pretty vague. one of two things is happening.
1. dmv is incompetent and don't understand their stuff.
2. this plate is not a "currently in use". like it's old and unique enough that it wont overlap another plate.


the plate shown is obviously the 6 digit blues from the 70s. potentially the alpha/num combo could be duplicated on a newer version still using a 6 digit. iydk, the serial number on your tag HAS to correspond to your plate number and registration. (dog forbid you aren't properly, and illegally, taxed.)
