Did my first cruiser clutch replacment effort with planks of wood,a couple of jacks and alot of moving around the truck, all in all it was an experiance,
saved me about $500 doing it myself.....
came out ok, getting it in was much harder but i stabbed it in the shaft first time(very lucky!) took a while to line up guiders, but got it done...
thought id share it with ya`s..:wrench:

Once getting it back onto the planks of wood, then back on the tyres,i just kept adding blocks of wood to get angle right...

And then bingo, straight in.... then i pushed it with my hands on the back leafs and pushing with both feet,:D

it took me about 5 hrs on a friday night stuffing about undoin everything and then setting up my contraption, dropped it down then to that night, then the next day about another 5 hrs changing clutch and cleaning, getting on the planks of wood again was hard, around about ten hrs mate, probably longer, i was alone though,

yeh, dont get me wrong, another hand would have been great when putting it back in..but when the cash aint in the bank, you do what ya do:steer:

was it scary supporting it with wood planks??

not really, i made sure if i had to get under it while supported it was not gonna slip, every little step had to be done properly or bang crash, time consuming and they are very heavy too...
,needed to think alot b4 next step

haha I know what your saying, If it was me crawling underneath that heavy thing I would be s***in bricks lol

this is crelok on my other account--..i have to get the tranny out again.....argh.due to the fork and throwout race rattling like crazy, and its stuck in gear when driving.yey!i will have another set of hands this time though...woopwoop.

alone again...one kick at the right angle first pop straight out....happy days....fly wheel all good...yey!..

ok,new Exedy kit is in and all good so far....except i lost oil pressure gauge...temps are fine/oil is fine/all is fine...sitting for 3 months...is this a cable/plug that i have missed?

My oil pressure sender location is right at the base of the oil filter. I've accidentally pulled the wire connection off w/o realizing it, check that wire.
