I have had a few months to drive the rig with the new upgrades. I went over Eisenhower Pass and Rabbit Ears elk hunting and it went up at 50mph in 2nd with 35's and 4.11 gears. It struggled if I tried to push harder than that. The steering is a little "floaty" without the Castor correction bushings I bought but does not feel unsafe. The right rear tire valve stem leaked up I-70 and it got down to a "stable" 22 psi before a buddy radioed me and told me to pull over. Got it fixed in 10 minutes in Idaho Springs. It was probably original lol...I need to change the others too!

The EMS exhaust is still purring, no issues. I haven't gotten into anything slider worthy to comment on the Metal Tech sliders but they look clean and are so solid.

My next upgrades are the Slee ShortBus Bumper, Warn 9.5 XP, Castor correction, Aussie rear and regear to 4.88's. Happy New Year, Mud! :flipoff2: !

The 4.88's are in and 4WheelParts in Austin, Texas did an excellent job with them and the castor correction bushings. Great guys to deal with. I went up Raton pass with full load of gear and passengers in 3rd gear at 70 mph versus 50-55 with just me and gear (last Fall). I can also pass again without feeling like I'm going to be hanging out in the left lane too long. The 4.88's were great offroad as well needing almost no braking pressure on steep downhils. I came down hard on the Metal Tech sliders once and they worked as advertised. Really exciting to see the rig come together and use it! My FlowMaster exhaust does drone now in the highway at 75mph and around 2800 rpms but in general it wasn't too horribly annoying. Next bumpers, winch, S/C and intercooler!!!!

Just read your whole build. Your truck is coming along nice man.

Spacers

I also fixed my leaky rear sliders http://www.lcool.org/technical/80_series/window_leaks.html before beginning so the new carpet doesn't get the moldy smell my old one had acquired over the years. I used 100% silicone.
The PO was also a heavy smoker and seemed to put out the cigars and cigarretes on the carpet. So nice to have a fresh one going in!
Here is the carpet going in from http://www.stockinteriors.com/AutoCarpet.asp?Itemid=21802&MakeId=37&ModelId=709. I added the mass backing option. The only thing I found helpful to cut the carpet padding was the serrated edge on my Leatherman. The exacto knife couldn't even touch it. The Exacto does great for the carpet and mass backing. The carpet color is "saddle".

was the dash kit from craft customs, or is that just where you are sending the steering wheel?
