Well to start I obtained this vehicle back in those hot blistering days of the heated August month. I came across her on Craigslist, & it was almost as if she called my name moments before I clicked on the link. It was like destiny had given me a new love & a unknowing challenge. After looking at her for about a week .5 (lots of Ih8mud research) and contemplating whether she should exists in my life or not I finally decided to obtain her from the kind elderly gentleman that was a accomplished Butcher of exquisite meats. After a good hr of haggling and admiration for his front yard (damn thing was imacculate) I finally got her at a amazing bargain price & with only 148mi on her. Now when I came across the voluptuous beauty I had no knowledge of her toughness and reliability... I was a newbie, had so much to learn (thank GOD for IH8mud!) but I was ready for this adventure just as Frodo was in his, and to say she is as equivalent as Gollums Precious. I fell in love in the first 20 miles and am now a very dedicated fj lover of all types... Fat or Thin :). All though i do have an occasional battle with the other female entity in my life (stop spending so much money on that old car, blah blah blah & so on). They will never understand a mans journey in the automotive world. Much time and money has gone into to this whore and here is my list of the dirty things I have done and the adventure i am taking as it unfolds. A few missing pics as i am not exactly the best at recording moment of life.

I am the only man that touch's her and does her maintenance ;)
Too start she got some plastic surgery done on her eyes. Upgraded headlights and tail lights
Cb radio install & antenna, ripped out seats and carpet for a clean look. (pics soon)
New kicks from a younger 2008 Toyota 4Runner
New upgrade drilled and slotted Rotors plus brakes from Jonesy Off-road (1/2 done, Front end so far will tackle that ass soon)
New stereo With bluetooth and all that fancy crap
A good clean out on her dirty little tight sunroof drain holes
The usual, New sparks, engine flush, oil change and heavy duty oil filter, Shell & Bosch premium...
Repacked the bearings and etc when replacing the rotors. No new parts just caressed the old ones as she doesn't need a change
LED interior lights, (holy crap its bright.....)
235/85/17 Bf Goodrich All-Terrains tires.... She need a little bit of skinny. s*** she eats to much as is....
Full Detail of course, luckily the previous (Mr. Butcher) gave her a new paint job
Painted The front grill black...afterwards stuck in the oven at 350 degrees for 45min each side to solidify her perfect color. Stunk up the whole house. Was high on paint for half a day, lol

On the list to do...
Awaiting parts from the kind mister Beno... Gaskets, fender flare seal, and front end mud flaps
silent proof that mofo
3" and or 4" lift from Iron pig- Old Man Emu
Upgrade all speaker, 1/2 done- in a gentleman manner, don't need at that thump
I have a Snorkel already but indecisive if i can cut that hole on her and hurt her
Powder coat rims black along with calipers

You are kinda creeping me out dude........LOL! Nice truck. Now ditch the brush guards.

Btw you must understand I paid Morgan Freeman to narrate this story so make sure you think of it in his voice. @thatcabledude I dunno I kinda like it plus it's cheaper than the million dollar bumpers out nowadays.

^^^^^ You won't like it when a minor hits smashes "her" whole face.

Mind if I ask you how much those 4Runner wheels ran you? Do you have a part number for them or something like that? Love how they're not too far from stock to be distracting but they definitely refresh the look. Sweet ride. The red is a sick color on that vehicle.

Well took about a month to find on craigslist. And it was only 250$ for all 4, I got lucky :). They're from the special edition 4runners from 03-08 I think. I had to get spacers though in order to get them flush enough to the flares & fit the center cap on. Gonna powder coat them black hopefully this month

Here they are

So finally ditched the brush guard. Got lucky found a guy on Craigslist with a iron man front bumper. He also sold me a roof basket and a hitch mounted tire carrier at a good price.

Next on list, crank shaft seal, oil pump seal, and distributor seal this week. A/c with these climbing temps this month. Possible 2.5" or 3" lift this month or soon

As of right now i have interior completely pulled acd cleaning up flood damage. Putting in some dynamat to cool it down inside once A/c is fixed and reduce road noise. Pics coming soon.
