Now, for the bed. Its a mess also. The sides and wheel humps are the best, the floor of the bed has to go. My solution will probably be the easy route...wood planks like I did for the trailer. Here are the pics...

How/where am I going to source these tie down hooks. Most are gone, those remaining look like this...

On to the finale, the frame. Good and bad. The front half is in fairly good shape. The back half is in fairly bad shape. Clean enough to see the VIN # on the frame...

A bit of notching to accommodate the FJ60 power steering pump clearance...

Not great but repairable for sure...

The windshield frame is beyond what I'm wiling to put into it to repair, I have a replacement already.

The bed and tailgate are unobtainium so I have to repair them. At least, thats the plan as it stands now. After all the rust gets blasted away, it may change...

Almost, but not quite... https://forum.ih8mud.com/fj45-owners-club/495747-building-more-lpb-beds-come-watch.html#post6738776

Awl Teq is likely your best source for much of what you'll need.

I'd ditch that hood. Believe it or not, that frame dosen't look bad compared to the one I had back in 1995.

How did you have a frame that looked worse than that which was still a frame?!

There are plenty of those frames down here but shipping might be prohibitive. If you could find someone shipping up a 40' can I'm sure I could source a clean frame for you from my wrecker mates.

Otherwise you could ring them and see if they can ship it. +61 8 8359 4499. Ask for Rod and tell him that you know me. If they have one you want, I'm happy to have a look at it.

Thanks Josh, I appreciate the feedback, referral and offer to help.

I'll be rebuilding the rear section of the frame and not trying to patch all the holes/sections that need repair. I'm sure there are worse frames found and saved from the crusher but I'd rather have some fresh, clean steel to work with than a patchwork of pieces.

But, thats just me...
