I have been building this for the last 6 months or so I got it in pretty sad shape and have gone through most everything on it. Its a 73 with a mid 80s 2f , 3 speed, Drivlinetech.com 1/4" wall long slip drivlines, locked front and rear, stock cruiser rear axle with 2" wheel spacers and a 1980 mini truck front axle with trusses diff. guards and the Longfield 30 spline super set :D,The front leaf pack is a toyota IFS rear leaf / jeep wrangler hybrid pack. U bolt flip, pro comp shocks , Custom made rear leaf perches for the spring over / flip in the rear. The wheel base is almost exactly 100". The interior is herculined , Corbeau baja ss seats with a cj7 rear seat. RCI 5 point harnesses, CB , PA, CD player, found a cool sound bar out of a yj i think to hold my cb and speakers, I made my own tube fenders , Saginaw power steering , Cross over high steer , disk brake front blah blah blah ... I still have a ways to go until its done but its getting close !

here it is when I first got it

Winkle,

You've made a helluva difference. Great job:beer:

what color did you spray the body with?

Thats a pretty clean rig, props. How do you like those seats? jw:hhmm:

The paint is out of a can :hillbilly: I built this to be a wheeler and here in the Pacific Northwest we have lots of trees to run your paint down. So I figured i would put my $ where i needed to and have a paint job I could re do on the trail :D The seats are nice but im about 200 lbs and if you are any larger than that I would most defiantly get the wider ones !

Looks like all your effort has payed off good looking rig. I also like the ease of touch up with quailty rattle can. That rc is sweet how big is it, it looks large in the picture

Hi All:

Nice job on the rig, Winkle! I especially like how you did the front fenders - did you bend-over the edges, or did you tube 'em?

Where are you at in the Pacific Northwest?

Regards,

Alan

I started the bumper / stinger / winch at 8 am Saturday finished at 10 pm and went wheelin Sunday. Worked all day today and I have to pull my radiator, have it fixed, pull the tranny and put the new t-case in, install a new clutch, fix my heater, install my 5 point harnesses, build a anti - wrap bar and tune my carb before Saturday. So i will build the stinger on the rc when i get a spare min. :flipoff2:

haha who needs two windshield wipers when you got a bumper like that... you got that done fast. looks great.
