Appreciate the offer, but I can always just reach out to LeBlond to date it. Plan to anyway to see about ordering some parts.

Just thought it strange that LeBlond is one of the few companies that doesn't have a serial registry on vintagemachinery.org

"H" refers to it being dual drive and "C" refers to the swing at 15"?

Guessing ship date was late '30s or early 40s?

Not sure what the H and C refer to. The LeBlond Dual Drive MK1 was introduced in 1946 and phased out some time in the 50s with the MK2. That puts this lathe somewhere between 1946 and mid(?) 1950s. More reading if you're interested:

No worries.. they just got back to me on the year. Just saw your post so wont spoil the year.

That's a beast of a machine.

Well if you did it anyway, don't hold back, spill the beans! :flipoff2:

Ok didn't want to just post up if you wanted to do it yourself.

He must have passed my email along to someone because I got an email from a LeBlond rep out of the blue.

Said its from 1953... and also told me they do still have manuals for it at $87.

No s***!! Can you forward me their contact info?

It's the same year as my bridgeport

the email I got was from a cdemoss@leblondusa.com

I'm guessing my buddy couldn't find the right manual to look it up in and just sent my info along to them or something.

Thanks for the contact @lt1fire !! Have that person researching the history of the lathe, and will soon have a genuine leblond manual! Not cheap, but super cool! Will fit right in with my original Bridgeport manual from 1953 :grinpimp:
