Mine been fine, no popups.
Same problem on my phone, but I don't think it's a MUD issue. I ended up installing a new browser on my phone called "Adblock" and it solved the problem.

I have noticed the popups on my phone when on a cellular network (whether I'm logged in or not). If I'm on wifi, no problems.
I've read the Best Buy or Apple popups can be found on other websites. Apparently the malware can infect specific sites.

I'm having pop ups on my iPhone as well. Annoying but I just hit the back button and its goner. Key is to hit back before it fully loads.

Adblock browser (free) for the win!
I had the same problem the other day on mud using my iPhone. Cleared memory and cookies in the settings app and restarted phone. Haven't had any more issues since
I use uBlock Origin (which I like better than AdBlock) and Ghostery. Never any problems.

Frustration level reduced significantly. Ad block + Ghostery, yeah!
Pop ups are the worst invention. Do they actually ever work? Seems like they just pass everyone off.

For me I was able to figure out exactly which banner ad has the exploit. @woody I hope you have a way to block individual advertisers or redirecting URLs!
This is the particular ad that is making viewing MUD unbearable on the phone:

Stupid AdChoice is the one serving them - I was getting 2 or 3 Subway PER tab so - sorry Mud, would like to support your revenue but I am NOT willing to sit through that BS so Adblock Plus extension in chrome is now installed.
