One of the firsts things I bought for my LC was front mudflaps. These babies aren't cheap and after taking off my running boards I found myself puzzled that toyota had spent all this time designing mudflaps that don't work with the running boards. I know a lot of you get rid of the boards but for us older folks they make getting in and out of the rig much easier. My rig is stock at this point so I was just trying to keep the mud from spraying on the side of the truck. I went to the rubber store to buy some foam and asked the salesman what he had for mud flaps. He took me to the back of the warehouse where he showed me a roll of potatoe belt. I bought a 2 ft square piece and cut it in half, then I rounded it a bit at the top. I took the pop out pins center and using the bracket bought for the toyota flaps I now had 5 points to attach it. The beauty of these flaps is they are tougher with two bands of metal woven in the rubber, 1/4 inch thick a flexible, they won't break like stock mudflaps, and I can use my running boards. I fancied them up with some foam with black leather hot glued to the rubber, then aqua sealed the leather. You can skip that part and have scew on mudflaps and running boards too. I think these would be a great addition in the back wheel well for those of you that want to keep mud from getting in between your fancy aftermarket bumper and sheet metal. I haven't done the rear yet but the front will cost you 25 bucks, that's 1/4 what the oems cost.

Soooo, Where's the pictures??? ;-)

Careful, it is easy to rip out "flexible" mud flaps when going in reverse. Don't mount it TOO securely otherwise you could have even worse damage. ;)

I was wondering about this. Any way to make some sort of stop for them so they don't swing too far forward? I couldn't think of anything

Precisely! Don't really want to drill holes in the body, but that's a good starting point idea

I bought from rallysport. I did some trimming and just screwed with fender screws.
