msd ignitions

I ws out wheeling friday night and the cruiser had a hard time starting new starter,alternator,optimas batteries.I'm running chevy 350 froma 79 imapala eddlebrock 600 cfm.Will a MSD ignition help And if so what one should I get seing I'm not familar with these. I waas also thining of getting powermaster starter and alterenator.

Probably not.

Stock GM 350s don't usually have a problem starting, so start with the basics: Do a compression test and if the compression is OK, then do a complete tune up. Then it should start fine.
