It says Kenwood![]()
Kenwood makes over 40 different head units.
I looked into it a bit and it appears the DNN990HD supports OBD2, but it's no longer in production.

I just use a GPS trip tracker on my ipad that is mounted in the truck. When I fill up, I look at the GPS total and do the simple math.
Math is hard![]()
@coops2k here's a super MPG related question. Where did you buy the fit kit for your double din aftermarket radio ?
I got the Beat Sonic kit, way too much $$$$ There is another kit out there for the plastic and I think for the wires to make the amp work. I will try to find it later, out running around now, might have a link on my build
Awesome, I think I looked at the beat sonic kit, $300 + seemed pretty steep to me. Although I think moving from an 80 series to a 120 means I'm now in the $$$ signs range for parts.
look and read post 34-38, this could save you $$$
Coop's GX470
@DanKunz
I'm confused. You got 13.5 mpg with 34s on 4.56 gearing? Earlier you said 15mpg. Was that on stock?
No clue on stock, that was 8 years ago. 34s on 4.56 was pulling close to 3k rpms at highway speeds. I pull 2200 now. Not that hard to figure!
This is not connected to OBD2 because I need an interface and the one that Kenwood uses IDatalink Maestro and the only one that hooks up to our system is the Maestro SW which only controls the radio. I get the picture I posted by imputing the Fuel cost/gallon and the amount of Gallons I put in the tank, then the DNX893s does the rest and stores the information for me.
If I could get it to connect to the OBD2 and give me everything that the Maestro RR supports, then I think I would get that and have it on the head unit. From what I can find, IDatalink does not support any Lexus with the Maestro RR that I can find on their website.
just looked at something on IDatalink, the Maestro RR will hook up to a Toyota 4Runner and my Kenwood DNX893s, iDatalink - Maestro - Maestro RR, so why would it not hook up to a Lexus GX470? input on this? So if we use the same drivetrain, engine and computer of the 4Runner Limited, then it should work?
