i've got a warn M8000 and want to move the control box underthe hood. anyone else done this?? is there more to it that mounting and extending the wires??

I've mounted the Warn XD9000 solenoid under the radiator overflow bottle. Could be a problem in the case of a catastrophic overflow bottle failure but no problems so far. Fabbed a connector bracket to the radiator support and added a connector extension, available from Warn, from the solenoid to the front grill for quick and easy access. Used existing bulkhead openings for all wiring.
My 8246 Solenoid pack is where the headlight washer bottle used to be. I just ran some fat battery cables to it and it works fine.

sounds good, thats what i was planning on doing origionally, just figured that i might as well check and see if it already had been done.
