hey guys,

We are selling our heavily built 80 series so I can inherit my wife's 06 100 series.
Currently all that is on it is an ARB and warn 9k.

I will be building it basically the same as my 80(locked, geared, etc...)

Got a few questions.

1. On my 07 tundra their is a way to turn off ATRAC with the trac button. Is their a way to do that on the 100 series? Atrac is great, but not always desired(muddy hill climb where high RPM's are vital)

2. Aside from the 7pin mod any other cheap or free things I need to know about the 100?

Thanks for all the help! I am excited for a new build.

I have scoured the FAQ like crazy. Searched and can't seem to find a clear answer on the ATTAC question.

If you wire in a switch that interrupts one of the wheel speed sensors, I believe that will disable atrac. If you have lockers, atrac will never come on when you are locked up, because the wheels will not spin at different rates.

My truck must be an anomaly as it will engage atrac when I have the rear locked.
Not to mention he said the only mods he has are a bumper and winch, and he wouldn't have a factory locker and atrac, no 100s came that way.

In my tundra(07 so ATRac). I have an ARB in the rear. Atrac will function up front even when my locker is engaged in the rear. Atrac cannot work on a locked axle... very aware of that and it's function.

Will lock the diffs, but not before a good fall of wheeling. So was wanting to disable it when needed. In the tundra you just hold down the trac button and all the nannies go away.

Same, I've had atrac over heat the brakes and start to produce a very bad smell on a loose rocky hill climb. Still need to do this mod.

He said he is going to install lockers. You would have to be locked front and rear to avoid all atrac.
