I've had my 80 for about 7 years with a 40 and 60 preceding that. Finally picked up a '99 with 166k for the wife after missing out on numerous others. Still looking for a cleaner example because it's got a bit of rust but I'm used to it living up here in the belt. The po was an accountant and had the truck for 15 years as the second owner. He had a lot of recent service records and it does have the rear locker. Looking forward to my new relationship and some new reading material in the 100 section!

I had to recharge the A/C but I've overhauled my 80's before so I have a 20lb tank and all the gauges and pumps so it shouldn't be too bad. I was surprised how much it took to fill as it has the rear A/C as well. The rear springs look new but the sway bar bushings are all shot so I have those on order. I might give the torsion bars a twist too as it has a slight stink bug. I tried engaging the rear locker but no luck, I'll try again after the corrosion-x treatment soaks into the undercarriage. Here she is after a good cleaning...

Nice 100 and welcome. What was your method of cleaning the engine compartment?

I keep the engine running and power wash the bay, finish off with a coat of corrosion-x from an aerosol can. It's safe on metal plastic and works like dialectic grease in contacts. I swear by the stuff, been using it for years on my 80. Kinda greasy to work on after awhile due to dust and dirt sticking to surfaces but better than rust forming.

Cruiser rust

Congrats and welcome to the Hundy club! Looks very clean. Let me know how the corrision-x stuff works on the undercarriage?

Picked up a set of bfg ko2's today in the 285/75 flavor. The po purchased a pair of Yokohama's 1000 miles ago at town fair tire. I tried to complete the set but since they no longer carried the tire they offered to buy them back for list price! Gave me $350 off the new set, I was really pumped they would do that.

Forgot to add that I also cranked on the torsion bars. Passenger side took 4 complete turns to raise 3/8" but I had to crank the drivers side 8 times to level it out. I didn't take before measurements on the drivers side but it was noticeably lower before. Cool how mr. T made it so easy to do that!

What's amazing to me is....you have Dollar Trees in CT.

Does anyone have a source for touch up paint? This obviously was a mistake on my part...lol

They don't carry a Toyota champagne pearl, not that I found anyway.

If you put the correct vehicle details in after going to the website from the link it leads you to a choice with Toyota 1b1 champagne pearl being one of them.

Sorry, I was responding to Julian's post.

Awesome, Im ordering now, thanks @planomateo

Just making sure I'm not crazy I figured I'd check the paperwork...
