Rollin..rollin..rollin, get them Doggies Rollin-- Rawhide!

Well, we planned to hit the road Monday, the trailer was fully loaded with everything and we even had a tiny bit of room to spare.
We were quite proud of ourselves until we realized that the frame was sitting on the axles. :-p
The gvw was a full double the max.
Had to change plans a bit and reorganize everything, we are just bringing our small trailer now and the other one has been relegated to storage duty.
So we are delayed, but still making headway!

We made it.
Working on setting up shop in Eugene now, been in town for just over a week, getting things squared away, have internet hooked up now and I'm getting caught back up on the emails and all.

That's great news, Kevin! Glad you made it.

Hi Kevin,
Glad to hear you are here in Oregon beginning a new adventure--bummer about the trailer change at the last minute.
Eugene/Springfield is where I grew up until we moved to the wild areas east of town--once you get to know the area there are several areas you might like all close to work for your wife, but still out far enough to have some space.

I did a temporary install of the side panels the other day--the ones with the non-slip surface--look nice and fit well. Will remove and finish my inner fender coatings, sound deadening material and then do the final install--thanks; definitely the quality and durability I had hoped and expected!

Thanks for the welcome guys, we're happy to be here.
It's been nice so far, there are a lot of resources in the Eugene Sprfld area and I am getting set up with what I need.
Should be able to start welding and building again soon.

Hope the tailgate is still working well Jon, let me know if you want to move on the sides.

Kief, did you guys get stuck in the snow this weekend?
I got stuck on a wet hill :p but no snow.

And I'm glad those panels are looking good Mike!
I'll have to stop by and see them in place next time we make it up further north.

Thanks!
We've been trying to take some time every weekend and head for the hills, camp and hike a bit.
There is a lot of other stuff to do, but we figure that if we don't do that then it kind of defeats the point of moving to Orygun. :p

My truck body is basically GONE though, really need to get rid of the broken body before hitting any actual trails.

I thought I would be heading up to Portland on a more regular basis but I have yet to find that necessary. It seems like all the supplies are available here in Eugene so far.

Just saw that you moved - my wife and I both went to UO, you'll love Eugene! We still talk about moving back...

Hey Joel,
Eugene's been treating us pretty well, and my wife likes working down at the university.
You guys are just north of a here a bit though so com on down! There only seems to be a few cruisers around town.
cheers,
KR

Welcome to Oregon. As a Canuck that recently spent some time in Eugene/Springfield and Florence, we really liked it. No sales tax when we were shopping there was also a favourite. I liked the drive out to Florence for what it's worth, I'm not sure what you guys meant by the crappy road.....
On our way back home we stayed a night in Red Bluff. Way too freaking hot and muggy there for my liking, I'm more of a coastal guy.
I wish I had of noticed this thread before we left, would have liked to stop in and check out your 80 stuff and meet you.
Anyways, have fun in your new state.

Oh, and Oregon as a few B99 bio diesel stations that made me like it even more.

I wouldn't feel too bad about the missed visit Enigma, you could take a look at the majority of my tools sitting in the middle of the shop without homes and I don't have any 80 series stuff on hand to look at. :p So you didn't miss much.
It is nice out here though.
And I just picked up the first batch of laser cut parts yesterday.

That's how my shop is right now too while I rewire and prep it for a new meter and 200A service. I soooooooo hate doing building electrical, but at least this way I can know for a fact that I'm doing it right and up to code, plus setting it up just the way I want it.

I'll definitely let you know next time we're down. Got the shirts today - thanks!

Kevin, Just a quick note to say that the shirts arrived yesterday and was very impressed - even came with a handwritten thankyou post-it note!! You don't see that too much anymore!!

Fit & finish were perfect, (the body they're being worn on, not so much...)

Thanks for a great transaction, excellent service and I hope your new surroundings are treating you well.

Thanks again,

Hey Kevin, welcome to Eugene! Just saw this...I live out in Veneta and have a 100 series. Have sorta been stealthily watching the development of your lid for the 100. Haven't decided if I want the lid or to turn the tailgate into a food prep / cooking surface.
