Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

this is my personal 3rd vehicle, not including my girlfriends.

We put our first house under contract last night. It’s the only car we don’t own outright, yields the most selling…and drops a monthly payment. So while I bought this as a forever rig, we ended up finding a forever house. I can buy another Land Cruiser, but I needed and want a house more at the moment.

As with everything, I overly maintain and care to a fault. It’s a great truck and if I get to the closing table and it’s still here…we’ll see. But staring at needing to bring to 400k to settlement in 21 days makes ya think!

Price? Still available?

Hahahaha. Probably. Dude legit wasn’t even trying to sell it and randomly posts it on a Saturday night and sold it in minutes. Oh well, at least I have mixed bbq and imperial.

I understood my position and priced it accordingly. By the time I had posted it here, it was multiple hours after sending a message to a place we all know. They called me that afternoon and they’re wiring me money Tuesday. It sold so quickly bc there’s few people who pick up the phone and get deals done like that.

I got my first dm about here at noon and a standing deal by 3.

I basically wholesaled my truck and someone jumped on it. Everyone had a real chance. How it goes.

Wow, man. This is a rare one. I hope you are dead sure. Congrats on the house. Your car is the black twin brother of mine white HE. Would you mind saying if you cleared the $80k threshold? Always good to gauge the market. What's the "place we all know"? I hope it isn't carmax...

Thank you! I appreciate it. I legitimately cried a little. I have had a lot of cool cars, getting rid of my 911 didn't come close to this. I'm 33. A short term sacrifice for a forever house that we legitimately don't have to move from and can raise kids in is ok with me. And I'm taking some solace in it being the right thing to do. Sometimes you have to go "backwards" to go forward.

RMR is buying/bought my LC. Luckily, while rare...it's replaceable! It'll just cost me. I drove it for a year, pulled my down payment back out of it...and it cost me operating expenses and taxes while I got to drive the coolest thing on the road for a bit. Once the pools in the ground I will treat myself again.

I had 69k miles. 80k in my opinion would be top end of retail. This was a wholesale deal. I would guess it gets priced somewhere around that though.

I didn't have the time or energy for someone on marketplace to tell me I'm stupid and that my truck isn't worth more than 60 for 2 months while I waited for the right buyer...which is why RMR was a good deal for me personally. This price point is a big purchase for a lot of people, they typically don't sell THAT fast at retail, and I've sold enough cars private sale to know it's kinda just a pain.

I drove it to the home inspection so it could see what it was being sacrificed for like a true sicko.

Not car-less, or toy-less, just truck-less...which may be worse.

Agree on all fronts. Maybe a slightly used and pampered 700OT is in your future. I know it will be on my radar for the next couple of years while I (obsessively) follow the market. 😅

My guess is 700h OT will not drop below $100k until they have over 100k miles and 5+ years old. Especially if tarrifs are still in effect…

Looks like you can get low mile (under 20,000) LX600s from 23 and 24 for under $100,000.

LXs have never held value quite as well as LCs (numbers game) and I wouldn’t expect the 700h to buck the trend. There will be decent options in a few years.

Remains to be seen how tariffs will affect the used market but that’s a variable for sure.

That’s true but there was also a Land Cruiser that was the same. The 250 does not affect the US 300 like the lx570 vs 200 series LC. . There are only 15 used 700h for sale right now and only a few are OT.

Like I said I think it is depended on tariffs too. If the 700h is hit with 25% MSRP would be ~$143k

Also lots of LX600s MSRP WAS UNDER $100k

Yes, I would wager that the 700OT will hold value the most of all 700s. It will probably not suffer from the same LX570 issue of not holding as much value as LCs, since we do not have (real) LCs anymore in the US. There are currently several 23 and 24 600s under $100k in the used market. I would steer clear from the 22s, we all know why. The 700OT will probably hold as much value as the 200 LCHEs in the used market, but I guess in 3 to 4/5 years they ought to be under $100k. Tariffs or not.

I honestly dislike you guys. I had not given any thought to selling the LC that I didn’t even know those were a thing until now. F

Edit: expensive way to make sure I get CarPlay next time
ih8mybankaccount is what this place should be called. Dangerous around these parts.
