Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

Yes, I did get it looked at today by a Lexus non-dealer place. They saw a rear main seal leak, to fix was $2,250 they were about half what the dealership was and let me bring my own accumulator globe and rear shocks. They also saw what looked like an oil pan leak. Steering rack and pinion job only $2,200. So if I do new driver bottom seat cover I will be into it for $35K for a 2011 LX570 with 175K miles on chassis and ??? on engine block with new control arms and new stock suspension, new steering rack. I would of much rathered bought some of these other cars posted. Those are great deals.
Sorry you’re going through that.

Makes me feel more confident when I was asking $28k for my well sorted 2013 with 170k miles. Decided to keep it as it’s just so damn good at everything we ask of it. Jack of all trades.

The multiple 22-23k offers were too low for me and your experience shows me 28k for a well maintained is worth it.

I looked at a lot of 200s in the past few weeks and just bought a 2016, All stock with new KO2 tires. White ext, black/terra interior, very clean, 108k $46k.

I preferred the 2011 I looked at, 104k with OME lift, equally clean but they wanted $40k. Had aftermarket wheels that weren't my taste.

Book value on the 2016 was $4k higher than I paid, book value on the 2011 was $4k less than they were asking. The 16 seemed like a much better deal.

I also drove a 2017 LX570 that was $10k less than the LC. Same mileage. I just felt like a douche driving it. Too many bells and whistles.

Neither dealer would budge on price but I'm in CO.

Dang man got a link for that $36k LX? Lowest price on AutoTempest right now for a 2016+ is around $38k and that one has 195k miles.

I negotiated a 2017 with 73k miles (in CO, incidentally) from $52k to $49.9k and felt like it was well bought from the comps I found during a 6 month search. Not a screaming deal but ok.

If that $36k LX doesn’t have a branded title or a Swiss cheese frame, that’s a steal…almost flippable.

Incidentally, my wife agrees with your assessment of the LX. She drove it for the first time and asked me, “Why on earth do you need all this STUFF?”

Prior poster maybe mixed up the numbers? Been tracking pricing recently, $56K for the 2016 LC with 108K miles and then $10K less for the 2017 LX with similar mileage (i.e. $46K) seems more in line with what I have been seeing. If they got it for $46K, screaming deal!

The LC was $46k pre-tax. NADA retail is $50k or so. Anyone paying $56k for one has more money than sense.

I listed both the headrest screens on ebay for $1350, one has sold. I guess you could say I'll end up getting it for closer to $43k.

I also saw a '16 LX in Des Moines for $31k, alleged clean title. Seems too good to not have issues, and looks like it's still there. Not my taste, not worth my time.

Barry, thanks for following-up, I stand corrected, great deal!

PSA for anyone looking, that Broadway Auto Sales seems to be a scam site using the name and address of a legitimate dealer who recently went out of business.

Found a couple similar ones during my search.

That's hilarious. Those guys are all over Auto Trader, and I got an email at first stating the vehicle had been sold. They called three days later stating the deal fell through. Dude definitely had a thick accent.

Man I got my hopes up several times looking at sites like that during my search. Just high enough that it’s not 100% obvious. There’s scammers cloning websites of well known parts dealers too, doing the same thing.

Good buy on that LC. It’s beautiful and white/Terra is one of the best color combos too. Enjoy it!

Currently shopping for a 200 series for the wife to replace one of our 300k+ 100 series LCs. Is this one fairly priced? We want a 2013+ with the tan interior, and this looks like the only one for sale within 1,000 miles of us.

I assume we'll want a PPI? Toyota service history notes an engine fluid leak but no associated repair. No record of alternator, radiator, or starter replacement either.

With most of its life and miles being in New Hampshire, I’m willing to bet that rust is a problem.

Absolutely insane this one sold so cheap. Def a anomaly but it could have went for even less really.

Looks a bit rough IMO. High mileage, "murdered out" look along with some no name influencer branding. For whatever reason Cars & Bids also doesn't bring the big bucks like Bring A Trailer on these. In part because they also don't get the cream puff listings that BaT does.

Really? It's insane it sold that high. It's a 200 / 3UR that's approaching 300k miles. When these things get to this point there is plenty of risk involved.

Not to mention it appears the auction itself was "fishy". The winner placed a bid of $24k when the previous high was only $17.5k.

yeah but before the new last second bid it was gonna move for 17k.

for that price i think i'd take 40k in savings for a cream puff lol.

Wouldnt take any time to remove the badging and the chromeless look is actually pretty clean.

I would never own a black vehicle so it's moot to me but it was legit a smoking deal all things considered. There was a white 200 with like over 300-400k that sold for like 20 so thats decent.

yeah i saw that as well. The bidder had never bid on it at all up until that point and stated he thought he was posting his max bid.
