Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

great deal and beautiful truck...where'd you find it? nice one.
Thanks. So far so good. Purchased at CarMax after searching daily for over a year.

I'm hoping it's a scenario where PO didn't want to mess with selling a high priced vehicle and took the easy way out and sold to CarMax versus it's a lemon and they dumped it! Time will tell I suppose.

Did get the CarMax warranty for hopefully a little piece of mind. The only other route I was considering was CPO but those are also few and far between.

Not sure your previous experience with the carmax extended but seems solid overall. I have a buddy who’s squeezed probably 70% total out of pocket coverage at around 10k worth of work….so nothing to scoff at compared to the full alternative. He’s also had success pushing agreed repair coverage back for additional reimbursement.

Good morning Mud fans, I would like to introduce you all to Dorris. My new 200 Series LC. 2021 Heritage Edition, 2 Row, in Classic Silver. Truck is bone stock, 12k miles, one owner that according to CarFax spent all its time in the south. Purchased for $89k

Traded my 2020 HE LC in Blizzard Pearl that had 30k miles on it. (Paid $90k for it a year ago with 16k miles, netted $77k on trade) I’m going to do a write up comparing the two in a bit but this silver one is MUCH nicer truck overall. Oh and it’s paid for, just waiting for my paperwork to register so I can get my first title since I was 16. 🙂

Congrats. Dorris is beautiful!

Felt like it was worth mentioning, I had been keeping my eyes peeled for another HE along these lines in silver or gray. Found some that were either similarly priced but then had 3-4x’s the mileage, or had a third row which I didn’t really want to deal with. Found a couple more around the same mileage or less that were priced higher than I could justify. $108k up to $180k!!!

i am looking at a well maintained 2014 lx 570 with 80k miles. is 35k an appropriate price for this if everything checks out?

What about the 2021 HE is better/nicer than the 2020 HE? Just how the 2020 HE was treated before your ownership?

Market seems to be trending lower than that, or at least going that direction quickly.

I only ask because on Facebook marketplace I cannot find a comparable 570 in this price range for this low mileage and California only (zero rust), but when I talk to people or ask on forums they say it should be lower. I wonder what accounts for this discrepancy or where people are finding these great deals.

Sellers in California are usually California dreaming. They are always asking for more than what something is worth.
Enterprising people (should I say unofficial dealers, flippers, etc) all also use facebook and craiglist to peddle their wares..and they do so at relatively high prices.
Be patient and wait to buy a vehicle from someone that actually used it for several years. But in order to do that, you have to beat the people I mentioned above to it.

The first link below seems to be a private party person - but they are advertised too high in my opinion, but they are smartly not entertaining offers until someone sees it. The ad is a bit off-putting, but if you can swim through all that maybe you can work out a decent price.

This second link seems to scream flipper to me. They are priced the same as the other one above but with more miles and less info given.

The second listing is mirrored on FB and then there is another with 193k miles at $25k. Also overpriced.

So, not many options at the moment. Keep looking and be patient. Overpay if you can't wait any longer.

Thank you for the advice! Really appreciate it. I guess I do need to be patient. The first one you linked is the vehicle that i am talking about actually. He came down to $35k and stated he is firm on the price

I think it only really makes sense to buy in CA if you also live in CA and are acclimated to the higher overall COL. (Even then I’d personally be shopping out of state) My advice is to look elsewhere and be ready to make a trip if you find what you feel is a good deal on something you like.

Just put a deposit to hold a 2013 white LC with 64k miles. We look at it first of next week.

1 owner perfect carfax. Maintenance history is great, serviced at local Toyota every time. Should be no rust as it's been an Arkansas truck it's whole life.

Any help with pricing on this one? I'm willing to spend a little extra for the 64k miles with one owner. A white 200 is what we're after..

Toyota dealer asking 49k. I'm thinking that's about 5k overpriced. Any thoughts? Thank you guys!

It's close based on what I've been seeing in my searches. I routinely see 2013-2015 with 100k+ miles advertised at $40K+. I wouldn't mind dropping a few more for 40-50% less miles.
