Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

Approach it like you are indifferent if you get it or not. Don't not get it because you are mad at them! They have your Land Cruiser, punishing them is indirectly punishing yourself.

I get what your saying, but that dealer was probably the worst I've ever dealt with. They really were awful.

For instance: some pre-installed tracking device for the vehicle they are tacking on 500 dollars for?
They viewed it as a favor for us. Wouldn't remove it and wouldn't budge on the 500 dollars they were charging for it..

Not to mention jacking the price 5k AFTER my wife and I had driven 3 hours. I could go on...

Nope, I'm good. They CAN keep that one. Already working on a much cleaner, better deal 2020.

If enough decent ppl walked away from dealers in protest of their fishy practices, they won't be able to afford practicing those fishy practices.

It's really a terrible experience in general...but just stick to your otd number. Try to not get caught up in the BS they tack on on paper. I bought from a Hendrick store that had a bunch of non-sense tacked on, and a doc fee...all of that was still on when I signed the paperwork, but it had come off the purchase price. I know that's elementary stuff, but don't even think about it...just find your number after taxes you want to be at and let their head explode that you want money off until you find the right deal and they feel good that they charged you for flashing 3rd brake light. This market seems like its definitely slowing...I'll do another Mannheim dump like I did a few weeks ago...but I'm eyeing another car right now, completely different platform, 2-3 year old cars sitting for weeks.

I call that flashing third brake light the “sucker alert” 😂🤣. Joking and my favorite saying “you put it on, you can take it off” aside, if one gets the out-the-door price down to where they need it, that’s what matters (and don’t be afraid to walk away if the deal isn’t right). Given where the market is and where it’s headed, there’s going to be a lot of room for negotiation on these vehicles, which is a good place to be.

Listing looks fairly reasonable and not a scam, but eBay always a bit suspicious. Either way, a fair closing price and indicative of where the market should be for these 2016s. Feels like buyer got a deal, but mainly because everything else seems overpriced. VIN: JTMCY7AJ4G4040591

2016 eBay $54K 40K miles

Definitely finished on the lower end of retail. I think where eBay can get tricky for value is that's a 2k higher OTD price for anyone east of Texas once you get that unit transported, or a lot of personal time and energy invested in flying out and driving back...so a much smaller buyer pool which hurts the seller, or a higher oop for anyone outside of that market. Also a good example of deals to be had on eBay...reasonable to be weary but a lot of legit clean cars move through here.

2016 last wholesales.

I'll keep dumping stuff in when I have a few mins...but let me know if there's any specific section of the market someone wants wholesale data for. THIS IS NOT GOSPEL....however I do think Mannheim data for cruisers is better vs other cars because we have almost no difference in options and starting MSRP, whereas for instance you can have a 911 S that can have 60k of factory options added and Mannheim has no way to account for that through the vin, and a massive MSRP car could skew the average transaction price...doesn't happen with cruisers. Miles and CR are the biggest factors.

I think the selling dealer nailed it....

Toyota of Surprise...someone roll the dice!
I am so tempted. I'm hoping it's gone already. EDIT: Well, it's not on their website.

If it were local it would be much easier.

It got to 155k miles in the first 3 years of ownership.

White on brown has a tax on it! Plug it into the online record portal and see what turns over...I like that it's from a Toyota store...

My weird one is not putting the hitch cover back on. We now know you used it, which is fine we know what to look for maintenance wise... but didn't bother to give it back before you traded it

Edit: not on their site so I would assume it moved.

Confirmed - sold yesterday.

I do think there's a big dip being experienced right now on these...variety of reasons...interest rates and continued high expenses elsewhere really pushing these, and used cars in general down. I would buy one now because I do think these go back up at some point.

I know the covid overland surge was partially supported by a massively UP car market in general...I just don't know how time goes on and we move away from ICE v8's being produced and these don't appreciate as people continue to realize you don't get what you used to with new cars. We're all here for a similar reason but I think a 200 is great to hold long term. I bought mine fully hoping its here for the next 20 years+...

Given that the new LX600 and Tundra TT engines are being recalled because of "debris not being cleaned out during the machining process" I absolutely think these last V8s are going to be sought after.

I watch this thread cause I get goosebumps thinking of owning a 100 and 200. But man, did anyone see that White ‘16 down in Gulfport, MS? Or maybe Alabama. It had high miles and an accident with it but was also listed for $29k.
