For Sale Most recent 200 Series purchase prices (6 Viewers)

Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

The one at Miramar Motorsports has been for sale for a LONG, LONG time. Over the last few years, they've been grabbing any Toyota's they can find, 4Runners, Sequoias, Tacoma's, Tundra's etc.

They lift them, put a few other aftermarket parts on and flip them - looking for people that will use their financing at overinflated prices.

Yeah pretty much the same business model. Just finding decent LCs and modifying them + mark up to make sales. Can't knock it, as people continue to buy them. I would only consider a stock, unmodified example from either Miramar Motorsports or King's Chariot. But better than that, I would prefer to buy something directly from an original owner. There is a mark up paid for the convenience of MM or KC finding a rig. I've been resistant to paying that mark up but I might concede if they have a good 200 available.

Would really love y'alls advice on these two 200's that I am looking at. First one is a 2014 that has had solid service records and have spoken to the seller for several days and definitely has taken care of the truck also has the BP-51 suspension setup along with solid wheels and tires. He is going to fix the transfer case issue ($2500) before sale and said he will take $37k. Truck is in NC so will have to fly out and drive back or get a transport for this one.

It is a one owner in Texas not sure on how up to date service is in terms of if the radiator has been replaced etc. It's bone stock as it stands currently. Benefit of this is obviously much closer to Austin along with coming from my dealership I can technically sell it to myself so make a bit of money back from that and they said price for me would be $40k before TTL.

2014 has problems getting into 4lo, may want to have an accurate diagnosis on that before jumping in.

2016 has an 8 speed trans as well. Which is an improvement over the 2nd facelift 200s.

Between these 2, the 2016 seems like the pick especially where it is priced.

I recommend the 2016. You will appreciate the upgrades from the pre-facelift model. Also, I purchased a 200 about a year ago with plans to modify. I drove the vehicle for a while and immediately changed my mind because I enjoy its stock setup. I no longer have plans to modify until I need new tires which is probably another 2-3 years out and even then I may not modify (e.g., suspension).

Trimmed running boards. Running boards that were pretty crunched up at that.

I think that’s too high for a 2008. I paid $29k for my 2013 and 155k miles with $3k of aftermarket goodies back in August

I like that 2016. 152k miles is a lot, but it's good to see those prices coming down for 2016+

I know that the towing capacity for the 200 definitely clears what I'm towing, but I want to have some stability/confidence while towing.

If I don't get a 200, I will probably opt for a 2500/HD truck of some sort (which I know will probably tow better). My question is mostly if the 200 can handle that kind of towing regularly (20 times a year about 500 miles per trip, including up/down the CA Grapevine). If it can pull that off, which trans should I opt for? 6 speed or 8 speed?

I’d seriously look at an LX for towing or a half ton pickup. both are much better than an LC

I don't have the towing experience to comment on this but, certainly, many people in the 200 community tow like hell with their LC.

I have a Redarc on the 200 and good trailer brakes so I never had issues

Obviously a diesel 2500 is a superior platform but I never stressed towing with my 200

Almost pulled the trigger on this one but since it was local and was below 70K but decided I'm going to hold out for the right Blue Onyx/Terra 200 series to make the jump from my 2006. Looks like it's been sitting on the lot for a month now so I'm unsure why it hasn't sold: price/mileage difference, two-owner, Black/Black, or some combination of those factors?
